The Government of India has adopted the Harmonized System of Commodity Classification and Nomenclature developed by the Customs Co-operation Council, Brussels for customs and excise purposes. The Indian Government has, using it as a base, issued the Indian Trade Classification which is used to classify any item imported or exported for the purpose of Import/Export Licensing, for levy of Custom Duty/Export Cess/Excise, etc. etc. The Indian Trade Classification is broken up into 21 Sections and each section is further subdivided in to chapters. There are in all 99 Chapters in the classification. Since you have the option to either select a section or select 10 chapters across multiple Sections and for this data subset, you need only pay 33% of the total Package cost. Data in respect of 1 chapter will cost only 25% of the total Package cost. Like wise, Data in respect of a specific country will cost you only 25% of the total package cost whereas data in respect of a sector will cost you 33% of the total Package Cost.
